Rock aesthetics I, II and III

Abstract

This is a rare review. We do not present one book, but three. The three volumes can be considered monographic and all deal with rock music as a phenomenon of contemporary cultures; Therefore, the work in its entirety is written for an audience - not necessarily specialized - interested in understanding the sociocultural phenomenon of this genre in a part of the 20th century and what goes on in the present. The three volumes are the product of the intellectual project undertaken by Héctor Gómez Vargas, as an academic at the Universidad Iberoamericana León and an acute observer of the sociocultural processes of the city of León, Guanajuato, as well as of the western region. In this three-volume editorial project, Gómez Vargas has opened an important space to think and think about the figure of rock. Aesthetics, as an analytical figure, has covered the entire intellectual enterprise of the Rock Aesthetics Seminar (SER).
