Abstract

Popular religiosity is the axis that brings together the different texts of this work, although it is a topic that has already been in the debate for several years, it continues to maintain a notable validity as evidenced by the constant publications in this regard. But a new book on popular religiosity is relevant only if we understand the evolution that this problem has had and the specific contributions of this work. Therefore, to understand the importance of this book, we must consider some debates that are still open and that are related to the problem of the secularization of daily life and popular religiosity. Secularization has been a problem addressed in a more or less abundant way, although it is still a bit complicated to define, as some relate it only to institutions such as the Church and the State.
