Utopias and Chimeras. Travel guide through the territories of science fiction
Main Article Content
Abstract
In the essay on Utopías y Chimeras, Gabriel Trujillo corresponds to the spirit of the poet, who, as Bachelard tells us, offers us an invitation to travel. The poet is also a dreamer who leads us to the frontiers of the possible, to let ourselves be carried away by the power of imagination in order to transport ourselves to other places, to other times, beyond the limits of the immediacy of the here and now of the that we perceive and take for granted. The journey to which we are invited on this occasion leads us to cross one of the most fascinating territories of the collective imagination: science fiction. Although this genre is a creation of the modern age, it follows the path already open since the creation of the first utopia in Plato's time: putting into play the imaginary experience of another way of existing in society.
